Dreams and More, an Afternoon of African American Art Song

  • Sculpture Woods 3851 Legoe Bay Road Lummi Island (map)

WWU Director of Voice Studies Dr. Richard L. Hodges and Music Department Chair Tim Fitzpatrick presents an afternoon of African American Art Song entitled Dreams and More. These works will reflect on dreams and other concepts about life and death based on the poetry of Langston Hughes, Paul Laurence Dunbar and More. The music of these composers will help transport us as we visually are engaged by the beauty of the Sculpture Woods.

Western Washington University’s College of Fine & Performing Arts is pleased to present live musical performances by faculty and student members this summer at Sculpture Woods. The events are free and open to the public, and we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of wonderful music and refreshments. We look forward to welcoming and performing for our island neighbors.

Please call Kim Obbink at 425-269-8286 with questions about the events.
