Sweet Summer Solstice

A "strawberry moon" is the full moon signalling the strawberry season and the 4th full moon of the season—which makes it even rarer than a "blue moon." The moon and summer solstice convened in pink dignity on June 20, 2016 and won't happen again until June 21, 2062.

At this time of year the days are over 16 hours long on Lummi Island with nautical twilight extending to about 11:00 pm.
