A bit of The Tome
/It’s the highlights of The Tome, February 2020, LICA’s newsletter to Lummi Island.
The LICA archives
Paul Davis is digitizing the LICA archives, containing a broad collection of documents of Lummi Island’s eclectic history. Soon, a computer in the new Noble Barn behind the library can be used by island residents to search and access documents.
Beach School Pennies for Patients
The Beach School Leadership team of 4/5 grade students kicked off their Pennies for Patients coin drive to raise funds for children with leukemia. Contribute to their goal online here.
Your own Personal Preserve
The Lummi Island Heritage Trust introduces the Personal Preserve Program with a series of workshops to connect neighbors, habitats, and landscapes one yard at a time.
The Rummage Sale relocates
The legendary Lummi Island Congregational Church Rummage sale will not be held at the church parking lot this year. With construction of the Gathering Place on the horizon, the Rummage Sale will be July 2-4, 2020 at the Saturday Market grounds just south of the ferry landing. Don’t miss it!
