Kindergarten registration begins
/Registration for students who will attend kindergarten during the 2016-2017 school year begins March 1. Parents may register directly at their neighborhood school Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
To be eligible to register for kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year, a child must be five years of age on or before August 31, 2016.

Evening session for registration
Parents who are not able to register during the day at their neighborhood school, may register their student on Thursday, March 3, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the administration office located at 6041 Vista Drive. During this session, Spanish and Russian language interpreters will be available to offer assistance.
What to bring
It will be helpful for parents at the time of registration to:
- Verify their child’s birthdate with a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or a hospital birth registration
- Bring a record of the child’s immunizations, as required by state law (verification required prior to the first day of school)
- Provide proof of residence such as an utility bill, rental, or lease agreement (for parents who do not already have students enrolled in Ferndale Schools).
